Echoes Of Flatline'Just a small chance'. These were the words that Imogen clung to. Her son lay on the hospital bed before her, limbs bent at odd angles, bruises and bandages littering his wan complexion. Those life preserver words had come from the doctor who stood across the bed from her. She refused to meet his eye, instead keeping her gaze on her son, hands wringing themselves, not knowing what else to do.   
Xavier, her son had been playing in the front yard while she was in the kitchen preparing dinner, giving fretful glances out the window just this evening. But then, some toy or another flew out of his grasp, slippery with mud and sweat that Echoes Of Flatline

"Dammit Raven I can’t lose you again! I just got you back into my life…I’m not strong enough to go on without you.” He admitted, a tear rolling down his cheek.   
“Garfield, you know as well as I do that I am the only one who can stop him. And if I must give up my life to save Earth once more, so be it. You will carry on, somehow. You’ve done it twice before.” She said this with a wry smile, a knowing grin that was pure facade for the truth of what she was about to endure.   
With one last kiss they parted.

Hello all,

Well it's been forever since I updated this thing or my account really. However, I do have a good reason: school. I'm in a rather intense program and it doesn't leave much time for writing. So my past few poems have been oldies that I dug up, plus a fanfic and a photograph here and there. But today I uploaded the first part of a short story I've been working on, so hopefully you all enjoy that. I will finish it eventually and I may write another somewhere down the road. But I just kind of wanted to update you all as to my absence and let you know what is going on. Hope you are all doing well.
